I sure am enjoying my job these days. It’s really a fun and wild ride. But the bottom line is that I love people (a lot) and I love supporting people through the process of learning how to serve God & people better / more.
I know that God would be using me similarly in His Kingdom no matter where I worked or what I did, but I’m so happy God has brought me into this context – pastoring this wonderful family.
Pastoring is not something I ever would have thought or planned for myself (does that sound like your life?), but now that I’m in it, I just can’t get enough! It’s fun because it’s all about people, it’s all about God, and the opportunity for creativity and experimentation is nearly limitless…
I just got back from a wonderful lunch conversation with some leaders in our church who are sensing that it’s time for them to step into some new ministry-ventures. What they’ve envisioned is out-of-the-box, very fun, and a will totally release them into who God has made them to be. They are feeling excited and challenged about what God is calling them into just like Hilary and I are feeling about our new ministry-assignment.
All of that to say, I’m having a lot of fun these days, and I appreciate everyone’s thoughts, prayers, and encouragement. Go God, go team!
